Play & Creative Therapy
In Bracknell most of our sessions take place at our center in Bracknell, at the Courthouse. In Wiltshire are sessions take place at Ahead4theraopy centre in Devizes. If you are referring a child as part of a school or other organisation we can support children in school, however require a minimum of 2 children per school/setting to do this.
Couples Therapy
Our couples therapy sessions are for couples dealing with conflict and challenge within their relationships. They will be a space to communicate your feelings with one another, helping you to overcome barriers and aimed at empowering families to make decisions and changes where necessary. The therapist will help to facilitate open conversations between couples, encouraging self-reflection, listening to one another and exploring areas of change to help you both move forward. We recommend a minimum of 8 couples therapy sessions; however, more might be required. In person sessions are currently in Wiltshire. Online sessions also available.
Adult Therapy
We are able to work with clients who have experienced and are struggling with the symptoms of trauma, and approach this from a somatic therapy approach. All our therapy is person centred nd can include a creative therapy approach if the client wishes. Sessions are available in person in Bracknell and Devizes and also online.
NVR Therapy
Non-Violence Resistance Parental Support is a therapeutic approach for families where violent, aggressive or controlling behaviors cause relationship difficulties between parents and children. Maybe your son or daughter is being physically aggressive towards you, maybe they are defying boundaries by staying out past curfews you have set, or maybe they are becoming increasingly more controlling or verballing aggressive at home. We are offering 1-1 sessions to talk about the challenges you are facing, explore your own emotions and responses, share experiences with others and learn NVR principles to explore ways of resisting the violent behaviors. We will look at the principles around increasing parental presence to strengthen parent-child relationships, self-care for you as a parent, developing your network of support to break down the secrecy and hiddenness around the aggressive behaviors and empowering you to resist these behaviors safely. One-to-one sessions are held weekly for a minimum of 8 sessions. They are for an hour and can take place in person at our centre in Bracknell or online. The sessions can be attended by both parents if possible. Each sessions will cover the principles of NVR including announcements, sit ins, reconciliation gestures and de-escalatory approaches. There will be homework tasks set and space to reflect on your learning and the shifts and changes you notice as you implement the NVR approach. Bursary funding is available to support with costs.
